Whoever Said Insurance Was Boring?
30 Years of Fascinating Claims Stories by Steve Badger, Esq.

Let's face it, insurance adjusting often gets a bad rap. Many people lump it in with the broader insurance industry and dismiss it as dull. But that couldn't be further from the truth!

In this year's Keynote Address, we're celebrating the fact that insurance is far from boring. It's an essential and fascinating field, and we should all be proud to be a part of it.

Our engaging Keynote Speaker Steven Badger, a well-known industry attorney with Zelle LLP, will ensure that we all begin the Convention excited and proud of the work that we do as insurance professionals.

For over 30 years, Steven Badger has represented the first-property property insurance industry in major catastrophe risk exposures. His work has included matters arising from numerous hurricanes, floods, explosions, COVID, and the 911 Terrorist Attack. For eight years Badger served on the Plaintiffs Executive Committee leading the multi-billion-dollar subrogation action brought by insurers of the World Trade Center Complex arising from the 911 Terrorist Attack.

Today, Badger’s practice is devoted entirely to representing the insurance industry in responding to the significant increase in disputed claims after hailstorms and wind events. This work includes responding to the increase in fraud and other abuses occurring in these matters. Badger is well-known and respected as a strong advocate for his insurance company clients and the entirety of the first-party property insurance industry.
